Responsibilities
Drafting and sending assorted documents to clients, counsel and courts as needed, such as correspondence, deposition notices, briefs, motions, orders, petitions, and discovery
Filing and service of all documents
Managing case deadlines across multiple cases filed in different jurisdictions
Maintain a very busy caseload
Assisting in document review and organization
Preparing privilege logs
Assisting with depositions and digesting deposition transcripts
Case maintenance (organization of files such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery, etc.)
Reviewing court dockets
Assisting with witness interviews and communications
Coordinating expert retention and medical defenses
Calendar maintenance
Qualification
Required
5+ years litigation experience
Strong Organization skills
Oral and written communication skills
Analytical skills
Ability to learn quickly and function in a fast-paced environment
Experienced with e-filing and e-service in multiple jurisdictions
Creative problem solver who takes initiative to accomplish tasks with a minimal level of supervision
Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel
Experienced with a variety of computer applications and internet programs: Microsoft Word, Outlook, LexisNexis, Westlaw, iManage
Preferred
Asbestos litigation experience
Prior trial support experience is advantageous
