$17/hr - $18/hrYMCA of Northern Colorado & Southern Wyoming is seeking an enthusiastic Summer Day Camp Program Leader to lead children through engaging activities at their day camps. The role involves supervising campers, facilitating various activities, and ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants.

Responsibilities
Independently lead and supervise children in small and large group activities, ensuring an engaging and fun camp experience
Lead a variety of camp activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, team-building exercises, and more
Follow YMCA program standards, including safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and emergency procedures
Provide leadership and support to Program Aides and Volunteers, ensuring everyone works together to create a positive camp experience
Practice positive guidance and preventative discipline techniques, using natural consequences in accordance with YMCA policies and expectations
Maintain open, friendly, and professional relationships with staff, parents, campers, and community members
Assist with maintaining attendance records, participant files, and other documentation
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other required events
Be on time for all shifts and be adaptable to accommodate unexpected schedule changes, including full days if needed
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years or older
Become certified or supply documentation of current certification in CPR and First Aid (can be complete through the YMCA)
Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable
Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative
Comfortable leading a variety of camp activities, including outdoor games, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises
Strong communication skills with both children and adults
Preferred
Previous experience working with children in a recreational, educational, or leadership role is preferred
Provide documentation of 480 hours of experience working directly with school-age children in such areas as Sunday school, Scouts, or sports
Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are encouraged to apply
