Lead Camp Instructor – Engineering & Robotics
STEM Space is a nonprofit organization offering hands-on summer programs in robotics, engineering, and technology for students in grades 1–8. As a Lead Camp Instructor, you'll guide students through hands-on STEM activities and lead a team of volunteers to create an engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
Lead daily activities and lessons for your assigned program
Lead and coordinate a team of volunteer staff
Manage classroom materials and equipment
Supervise students and ensure a safe environment
Communicate with staff during drop-off and pick-up
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years or older
Experience working with children (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp counselor, etc.)
Interest in STEM, robotics, engineering, or technology
Organized, and able to lead a group
Reliable transportation to camp sites
Available to work full weeks (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm)
Background check required
Have CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to attain prior to the start of the program
Preferred
Experience with FIRST LEGO League, robotics, maker education or other technical learning
Studying or background in engineering, technology, science, or education
