Responsibilities
Develop and maintain ETL processes and data warehouse applications on Teradata and other platforms
Create BI applications including dashboards, reports, and data analysis tools
Work with data modelers and developers to translate logical designs into optimized physical designs
Ensure data reconciliation, query performance, and analytical business value in all solutions
Participate in requirement gathering sessions and clarify technical needs with stakeholders
Provide end-user training and support for BI tools and reporting solutions
Document technical processes, workflows, and system changes
Assist architects and DBAs in drafting technical database models that meet audit and compliance requirements
Evaluate impacts of legislative or procedural changes on existing IT solutions and communicate risks
Serve as a team lead, guiding development efforts and ensuring adherence to standards
Perform disaster recovery planning and implementation
Review and approve test plans, incorporating security requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical study
6+ years of experience creating Data Warehouse BI applications, including ETL/data mart development, reporting, and dashboards
Strong experience with Snowflake and Databricks
2+ years of experience in Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, or related domains
Proficiency with SQL Assistant/Teradata Studio and BI applications
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with technical and business teams
Preferred
Experience with end-user training and quantitative design techniques
Familiarity with data modeling, performance optimization, and security best practices
Knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools
