Responsibilities
Design Power, Lighting, Fire Alarms, Telecommunications including all associated circuitry, details, one-line diagrams, and specifications
Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash and fault current, lighting, and any other calculations required
Prepare electrical construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports
Projects are for retail, commercial, multifamily, healthcare, and institutional markets
Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all building systems
Participate in the selection and specification of all appropriate equipment
Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects
Attend meetings and communicate with clients
Manage projects and monitor quality of work
Qualification
Required
4-7 years professional experience (not 20) designing electrical systems for commercial, multifamily, healthcare, and institutional projects
AutoCAD required
Proven experience with A/E or MEP firms
Strong fundamental understanding of the NEC, as well as the International Building Codes
Ability to multi-task with multiple projects to meet strict deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Preferred
Revit desired
EIT desired
