The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for checking the quality of produce, taking inventory, and ensuring that any spoiled products are removed from inventory to maintain high standards for customers.
Responsibilities
Perform assigned duties efficiently to reduce spoilage and contribute positively to profit margin; working closely with the cooler Receiving Department on perishable items
Determine quality of products returned by customers; work with Returns Clerk (DCI) on returned produce quality
Check quality of produce and ensure poor quality product is removed before a customer can purchase, sure rotation and quality of product on a daily basis
Break / repack full cases to small cases.in the most timely and efficient manner as to reduce spoilage and lost inventory
Check for dating issue on designated products on a daily basis. Remove any short dated and bad product from inventory
Communicate and interact with company associates and vendors in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensure questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner
Uses iPad for data entry, needs computer skills - Microsoft office word and excel
Keep inventory counts current
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Perform other related duties as assigned
Available Sun to Friday with a 5-day work week, rotating Sundays
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
6-12 months Procurement, warehouse and / or related produce experience
Preferred
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
1- 2 years Procurement, warehouse and / or produce experience in related area within foodservice industry
