Responsibilities
Manage and grow the current Lending Division, including policies, procedures, and staffing
Develop the company’s agency-approved lending capabilities, including compliance and operational readiness for direct sales to GSEs and government agencies
Manage lender relationships and negotiate contracts
Oversee loan delivery and quality control for correspondent loans across all operational areas: closing, funding, post-closing, and underwriting support
Collaborate with underwriting, operations, capital markets, and compliance teams to ensure smooth correspondent and direct loan processing and adherence to investor guidelines
Design, implement, and continuously improve systems and workflows to support operations and scale growth efficiently
Manage and negotiate warehouse lines of credit to support lending funding needs
Hold profit and loss (P&L) accountability for the correspondent lending division
Monitor lending market trends, investor requirements, and regulatory compliance
Provide regular reporting on lending performance, financial metrics, and operational metrics to senior leadership
Implement best practices to grow loan volume while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
1+ years of experience in direct lending with proven expertise in closing, funding, and post-closing
Strong technical skills with experience building or managing lending operations systems and process improvements
Proven experience managing and negotiating warehouse lines of credit
In-depth knowledge of correspondent loan products, investor guidelines, and secondary market processes
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience or a strong understanding of underwriting and capital/secondary markets
