Responsibilities

Lead the design and optimisation of transmit, receive, and T/R RF coils for MRI systems

Own RF coil architectures including tuning, matching, decoupling, and SNR optimisation

Design and review analogue RF circuits operating below 10 MHz, including low-noise preamplifiers, filters, matching networks, and RF switching circuits

Implement RF coil safety mechanisms to protect patients, operators, and equipment, including coil protection circuits, detuning, decoupling, and SAR considerations

Plan and execute RF testing, verification, and system integration of RF subsystems

Ensure designs comply with ISO 13485 design control requirements, supporting DHF, risk management, and regulatory submissions

Drive RF coil development from concept to clinical system readiness, collaborating with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, systems, clinical, and regulatory

Manage suppliers for RF components and specialised materials

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred)

6+ years of experience in MRI RF coil design or related RF imaging technologies

Strong expertise in low-frequency RF design (<10 MHz), analogue RF circuits, low-noise preamplifiers, filter design, transmit and receive RF coils, RF coil simulation, and RF safety/protection techniques

Proven track record delivering complex engineering projects end-to-end

Experience in ISO 13485 or regulated medical-device environments

Safety-first mindset with strong technical judgement

Comfortable owning RF design decisions and safety trade-offs

Clear communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Highly organised with strong documentation discipline

Effective in fast-paced, collaborative environments
