Responsibilities

AI/ML development via Python or other scripting languages
Agentic flow development, enablement, and deployment for use in HW design environments
Data collection, manipulation, and analysis: Developing and extending processes and tooling to promote data-driven design and decision-making
Collaboration on ADM core Python libraries
Tool development to drive enhanced efficiency for AMD AI frameworks
Automated regression environment development
Using code review software to ensure high quality code is produced

Qualification

Required

You are currently enrolled in a US based University in a Master's program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
3rd, or 4th year student enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent will be considered as well
Experience with scripting languages (Python, shell scripting)
HW/SW systems knowledge or interest
Linux/Unix environment familiarity
Version control experience (git/github, Perforce, etc)
Strong problem-solving skills and methodical work practices
Good understanding of computer and systems architecture
Daily use of AI coding assistant tools
Experience with LLMs, PyTorch, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), model context protocol (MCP), design of agentic applications
C++ or Rust proficiency

Preferred

Computer Hardware backgrounds / knowledge preferred. Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar backgrounds considered
