Responsibilities
Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and/or business entities, based on firm needs
Analyze and organize client financial data to ensure accurate and timely tax filings
Work with accounting records, trial balances, and supporting schedules
Ensure compliance with current U.S. tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines
Communicate with internal team members to resolve discrepancies and clarify information
Maintain complete and accurate documentation and workpapers
Assist with tax-related projects and meet deadlines during peak tax seasons
Follow firm procedures and quality standards for tax preparation
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of experience in tax preparation within a public accounting or professional services firm
Strong knowledge of U.S. tax compliance and filing requirements
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple returns and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well-organized, dependable, and able to work independently
Preferred
Experience with ProSystems FX and/or Engagement software
Exposure to preparing returns for multiple entity types (individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, etc.)
Experience working during busy tax seasons
