Editorial Assistant - PMG
Parthenon Management Group is an association management company offering management services to professional and trade associations. The Editorial Assistant supports the company's goals by providing editorial services and performing administrative duties necessary for publications. Responsibilities
Evaluate new and revised manuscript submissions
Assist with website updates, podcast reminders, In Memorials and special projects
Communicate with editors, authors and reviewers as necessary
Review and send decision letters to authors
Assist with coverage when coworkers are out of the office
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year university or equivalent experience
Skills to collaborate with and motivate volunteers
Strong written and oral communication skills are important
Demonstrated ability to oversee, train, and collaborate with staff
Detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills
Preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel strongly preferred
