Responsibilities

Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data

Implementing best practices for data visualization

Working closely with stakeholders from Walmart Claim Services to understand their reporting requirements

Creating visually appealing and comprehensive reports and dashboards that facilitate informed decision-making

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define business objectives, develop data-driven strategies, and monitor key performance indicators

Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels through well-designed dashboards, reports, and presentations

Designing, developing, and supporting clear, concise, and powerful data visualizations that portray data insights to our customers using BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau

Utilizing skills in SQL, ETL tools, Google BigQuery, Dataiku, Tableau Prep, R, and Python to prepare data for analysis, reporting, and dashboards

Writing clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards

Effectively integrating our Machine Learning models in dashboards to track their performance

Identifying gaps in business processes and developing analytical solutions to address them

Effectively communicating results to both technical and non-technical audiences

Collaborating with cross functional leaders

Gaining a deep understanding of our claims processes in order to propose innovative technical solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness

Demonstrating up-to-date expertise and applying this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales

Providing and supporting the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities

Modeling compliance with company policies and procedures and supporting company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices

Identifying suitable sources for data that is fit for purpose and performing initial data quality checks on extracted data

Understanding business value and relevance of data and data enabled insights / decisions; appropriate application and understanding of data ecosystem including Data Management, Data Quality Standards and Data Governance, Accessibility, Storage and Scalability, etc.; understanding of the methods and applications that unlock the monetary value of data assets

Providing recommendations to business stakeholders to solve complex business issues and developing business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings

Translating business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks and aligning to overall business strategy and developing domain specific artifacts

Identifying appropriate methods/tools to be leveraged to provide a solution for the problem and sharing use cases to demonstrate how the method would solve the business problem

Generating appropriate graphical representations of data and model outcomes and understanding customer requirements to design appropriate data representation for multiple data sets

Profiling, analyzing, and assessing data quality; testing and validating data quality requirements; continuously measuring and monitoring data quality; managing operational Data Quality Management procedures; managing data quality issues and leading data cleansing activities to improve data quality

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field

Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field

Preferred

Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

4 years' experience in data science, data analysis, statistics, or related field

Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (for example, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau)

2 years' related industry experience (for example, retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce)
