Eide Automotive Group is seeking a Used Vehicle Acquisition Manager to oversee the procurement of used vehicles for resale within their Minnesota dealerships. The role involves developing acquisition strategies, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements while collaborating with various departments to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage Eide's MN acquisition efforts, ensuring targets are met on a monthly basis and maintain high performance levels
Develop and implement effective strategies for acquiring used vehicles, including sourcing from auctions, trade-ins, private sellers, lease returns, and other channels
Maintain a balanced and diverse inventory of used vehicles that meets customer demand and sales objectives
Monitor inventory levels, aging, and turnover rates to optimize profitability and minimize depreciation
Negotiate with sellers to secure favorable purchase terms, including price, condition, and delivery logistics
Build and maintain strong relationships with sellers, auction houses, wholesalers, and other industry contacts
Oversee the inspection and appraisal process for incoming vehicles to assess their condition, value, and marketability
Ensure that all vehicles meet quality standards and compliance requirements before being accepted into inventory
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, including vehicle titles, purchase agreements, and transfer documents
Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to vehicle acquisition and sales
Track and analyze acquisition metrics, such as acquisition cost, vehicle acquisition time, inventory turnover, and profitability
Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance and efficiency
Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align acquisition efforts with overall business objectives
Coordinate with other departments to optimize the sales process and customer experience

Required

Previous experience in automotive sales, dealership operations, or vehicle acquisition

Knowledge of automotive industry trends, market dynamics, and pricing strategies
Proficiency in using CRM systems, inventory management software, and other relevant tools
