Responsibilities
Architect and build our core backend using modern patterns that scale
Develop AI-powered systems that serve as intelligent copilots for finance professionals
Own database design (SQL + NoSQL) optimized for speed, reliability, and compliance
Integrate vector search, caching layers, and data pipelines to power real-time insights
Build security and data privacy into every layer of the stack
Collaborate directly with founders to translate vision into shippable features
Set engineering standards and culture that will define our team as we grow
Qualification
Required
Deep expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI, or Flask)
Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL database architecture
Hands-on with vector databases and caching systems (Redis, etc.)
Proven track record building scalable backend systems
Strong grounding in security best practices for sensitive data
3+ years building production-grade backend systems
History of owning technical decisions that shaped product direction
Ability to tackle complex, high-scale technical problems
Preferred
Experience building LLM-powered applications at scale
Background in enterprise SaaS or financial software
Early-stage startup experience
Familiarity with SEC reporting or technical accounting concepts
