Responsibilities

Install, commission, and maintain equipment at customer sites
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
Utilize software knowledge to:
+ Update embedded code (firmware, assembly code) for equipment calibration, optimization, or bug fixes
+ Collaborate with peers on root cause analysis of software/hardware issues
Train customers on operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
Document service activities, including field reports, code modifications, and parts usage
Provide feedback from field issues to engineering and product development teams
Ensure compliance with safety standards and site regulations
Up to 50% travel domestically and internationally (as required, sometimes on short notice) to support customer installations and service calls

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Technical degree or related field (or equivalent technical training/experience)
3 years minimum related experience, including customer-facing and/or field service
Experience in field service, technical support, or a related role
Familiarity with Firmware/Assembly code or low-level programming for embedded systems
Familiarity with C/C++ or higher-level programming for embedded systems
Familiarity with rotating equipment (motors, drives, clutches, pumps, or similar)
Familiarity with embedded systems, PLCs, and industrial control hardware
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical schematics
Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and technical reporting
Ability to work independently in field environments with minimal supervision
Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools
