Appraiser - Real Estate Specialist
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking a skilled Real Property Appraiser to perform property appraisals and manage acquisition activities in compliance with USPAP standards. Perform property appraisals and manage acquisition activities in compliance with USPAP standards
Appraising a wide range of property types—including residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial
Participating in land management functions such as direct purchase, relocation, property management, and condemnation support
Travel approximately 50% of the time, with some in-state overnight stays possible
Qualification
Required
Current Minnesota Certified General Real Property Appraiser license issued by the Minnesota Department of Commerce
Three years of professional experience that demonstrates the following: Experience appraising single and multi-family residential, industrial, commercial, and agricultural properties as well as experience applying Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice USPAP real estate appraisal requirements
Experience applying State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies affecting real estate, land acquisition, and disposition
Experience facilitating effective interaction between diverse groups
Preferred
Bachelor's degree with a major in economics, finance, or real estate
Professional designation from the Appraisal Institute, American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers, or International Right of Way Association
