Responsibilities

Serve as a senior leader and strategic partner to the Provost and Deans on academic initiatives that support the university’s mission and priorities
Lead the planning and execution of cross-functional academic initiatives and enterprise-level projects associated with the strategic plan and SEM plan
Ensure alignment of academic strategies with accreditation requirements, shared governance practices, and institutional policies
Oversee a structured portfolio of strategic academic projects, including data and design, timeline development, resource allocation, milestone tracking, and compliance
Implement project management methodologies, tools, and documentation standards to support efficiency and transparency across initiatives
Coordinate contributions from academic colleges, service units, and administrative partners to maintain momentum and meet deliverables
Partner with Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, and Academic Advising to analyze academic and student-success data
Use analytics to identify structural barriers to progression, support planning, and inform institutional resource allocation
Develop regular reports and dashboards that evaluate impact and provide actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders
Lead communications strategies, primarily inward-facing, across all academic initiatives, including faculty and staff messaging, progress updates, website content, presentations, and reports
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, department chairs, deans, governance groups, and external partners
Represent the Provost’s Office at committees, workgroups, governance bodies, and public-facing events
In collaboration with other AA leadership, develop, refine, and implement policies, procedures, and operational processes that support academic initiatives, workload planning, accreditation, and institutional effectiveness
Promote continuous improvement in administrative practices across Academic Affairs
Collaborate with relevant teams to develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and allocate resources strategically
Oversee institutional accreditation and regulatory compliance activities. Serve as the Accreditation Liaison Officer and primary contact with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Manage submission of annual reports, self-studies, and any required accreditation documentation accurately and on time
Oversee assessment of university programs to support a culture of evidence-based decision-making
Organize logistics associated with accreditation visits
Keep campus leadership and employees informed of accreditation standards, policies, and updates
Lead or oversee planning for academic retreats, work sessions, initiative workgroups, and governance meetings related to strategic initiatives
Establish agendas, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up and integration with institutional planning cycles

Required

Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred
Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in higher education involving strategic planning, academic operations, student-success initiatives, or institutional effectiveness
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes
Strong analytical abilities, including experience with data interpretation, dashboarding, and data-supported decision making
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-priority workloads in a dynamic environment
Advanced knowledge of higher education structures, policy development, accreditation expectations, and shared governance
Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive of the needs including universal access of our students, faculty, staff and the public

Preferred

Advanced degree in higher education leadership, public policy, business administration, organizational leadership, or related field
Formal training or certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Lean/Six Sigma)
Experience with strategic enrollment planning, academic program development, or student-success analytics
Demonstrated work with grants, externally funded initiatives, or strategic resource development
Working knowledge of business intelligence (BI) and data visualization software platforms like Tableau, Power BI, and similar
Experience serving as an Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO)
