Purchasing Warehouse Buyer

Responsibilities

Process all warehouse general stores orders in a timely and accurate manner
Process all warehouse special purchase requests from SMART Procurement in a timely and accurate manner
Validate receipt, review, and correct all EDI and fax confirmations in order to eliminate any service failures
Obtain and document estimated ship date and available substitutes for items confirmed as backorder or allocated
Contact vendor (website, customer service, sales rep, national account rep) and review prior orders to obtain available substitutes, as required
Provide available substitute options to clinical team and Inventory Analyst for review and approval
Review outstanding receiving (OREC) report weekly to ensure it remains current
Contact vendors to update estimated ship dates for items that should have arrived based on past due estimated ship dates, or expected delivery dates
Work closely with Inventory Analyst to review OREC and update receiving as required
Provide updated status of purchases based on requests received from inventory analysts
