Engineering Project Manager

Responsibilities

Manage Client Interactions: Act as the single point of contact for assigned projects, negotiate / control project scope to client and the company's satisfaction, foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients
Lead Teams: Lead matrixed technical staff to ensure client deliverables meet quality standards, schedules, technical requirements
Manage Project Financials: Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performance
Manage Project Schedules: Responsible for development of project schedule, execution of schedule, reporting on schedule, preparing recovery schedules and re-baselining schedules. Understand complex scheduling tools including earned value management and reporting processes
Lead Proposal Efforts: Lead efforts while working with technical staff to develop winning, and highly detailed, engineering proposals, support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation and follow-up
Meet Reporting Requirements : Formulate / develop detailed internal and Federal reporting requirements
Enforce Polices: Enforce Internal and Federal work standards, schedules, supervising sub-contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates
Develop Plans: Develop Federal Services Project Work Plans, Risk Management Plans, Work Breakdown Structures and Dictionaries

Required

Minimum of 6 years' combined experience in federal projects or the nuclear power industry as an engineering Project Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering -OR- PMP Certification and BS in Business or Architectural
Must have experience working on nuclear or Department of Energy projects
Skilled in cost / workhour estimating and proposal development and review
Capable of reporting on and managing scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects executing simultaneously
Knowledge in earned value management, rules of credit, and progress reporting
Experienced in contract and non-disclosure agreement language development and review
Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes
Strong coordination and team building skills
Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks
Position may occasionally require a client site assignment lasting several months at a time
Must be a US Citizen to be eligible for this position
Ability to obtain DOE L or Q clearance
