HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a VDI Data Center Administrator to support our work at Beale AFB, CA. This role is crucial for ensuring the continuous availability of both classified and unclassified networks that support the U‑2 operations, involving hands-on work with advanced network and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

Ensure continuous availability of classified and unclassified networks supporting U‑2 operations
Monitor system performance and respond to network issues in real time
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems
Patch and update workstations, servers, and virtual machines
Design, deploy, and validate system upgrades and enhancements
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date system documentation
Work within hybrid Windows and UNIX environments
Configure and maintain CISCO and JUNIPER switches
Support virtualization environments, including VMWare
Provide responsive support to users across the organization
Assist with troubleshooting, system access, and network connectivity
Help maintain secure, compliant, and mission‑ready IT environments

Required

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
Security+ CE (or higher) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M
Previous experience as a Network Administrator
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software infrastructures
Experience with hybrid Windows/UNIX environments
Experience programming CISCO and JUNIPER switches
Active TS/SCI clearance
Must be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Experience with Windows Server administration
Experience with Shell scripting
Experience with VMWare virtualization
Experience with Cisco networking equipment
Experience with Network monitoring and logging tools
Scripting/programming/coding experience
Understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory
In-depth knowledge of Group Policy
In-depth knowledge of DHCP
In-depth knowledge of DNS
In-depth knowledge of Exchange
In-depth knowledge of Lync
In-depth knowledge of Symantec NetBackup / Backup Exec
