Responsibilities

Serve as a technical lead on automation opportunities, guiding customers and sales teams through solution development

Provide application-level support for Siemens automation products (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Drives, Industrial Networks)

Conduct discovery meetings with customers to understand project requirements and identify the best-fit solutions

Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concept configurations

Create technical documentation such as system architecture diagrams, configuration notes, and BOMs

Applies acquired process, product and/or equipment knowledge based on current industry trends, best practices, performance, price, and functionality

Performs complex hardware and/or software design consultation in accordance with customer/project needs

Works closely with Account Managers and Sales Specialists to achieve sales and market growth

Resolves very complex technical problems to meet customers' needs. Acts as one escalation point for major customer technical issues when on-site issue resolution is required

Supports marketing and knowledge transfer through participation on at least one technology core team

Provides periodic knowledge transfer events with channel partners in coordination with the Channel Account Manager

Supports our channel on opportunities in collaboration with the channel application engineer and sales team

Generates technical collateral such as application notes and examples for reuse by others
