$19/hr - $23/hrTEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking cable technicians to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining low-voltage cabling systems.

Responsibilities
Install work area outlets for floors (monuments), modular furniture (surface mount boxes), and walls (box eliminators)
Drop cable down walls using fish tape or other approved methods and route cable through modular furniture
Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, dress, and label cables; determine proper length and slack
Suspend and support cables using cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze supports
Build and configure telecommunications closets, including mounting backboards, racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and related hardware
Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cables as required
Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire-rated walls, install sleeves, and pull cable through sleeves and core penetrations
Terminate low-voltage devices according to specifications
Qualification
Required
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor construction environments
Self-motivated, professional, and committed to continuous improvement and promoting company culture
Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications and quality requirements
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs
Ability to distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals (e.g., dial tones)
