Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using C/C++
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware components
Debug, test, and optimize embedded systems for performance and reliability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development
Document software designs, code, and testing procedures
Ensure compliance with industry standards and established processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
2+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree)
Proficiency in C and/or C++ programming
U.S. citizenship (required)
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred

Experience with low-level driver development
Familiarity with unit test frameworks
Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C
Experience with Agile development practices
Background in digital signal processing (DSP)
Knowledge of Rust, Python, or MATLAB
Advanced Linux experience (drivers, networking, system services)
Multi-threaded or multi-core programming
Network protocols and socket programming
Cryptographic techniques and secure boot
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
