Lead Graphic Designer

The Lead Graphic Designer is responsible for overseeing graphic design and prepress production work, serving as a bridge between creative design, technical file preparation, and production efficiency.

Printing

Responsibilities

Lead all prepress production efforts for label, wide-format, and display projects, ensuring files are fully print-ready, technically accurate, and optimized for high-quality output across various substrates and printing technologies
Prepare, review, troubleshoot, and finalize print files using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, ensuring proper color modes, bleeds, trims, resolution, fonts, spot colors, and overall print compliance
Optimize artwork for maximum print quality while maintaining efficient file sizes, balancing performance needs with visual fidelity
Perform client-requested design modifications, enhancements, or refinements while preserving brand intent and print feasibility
Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled files, including structured layer naming, grouping, and documentation to ensure ease of use for internal teams and production staff
Organize and archive files efficiently within the company’s digital file library, ensuring consistent naming conventions, accessibility, and long-term asset management
Upload, manage, and verify label print files within HP PrintOS, ensuring accurate job setup and smooth handoff to production
Collaborate closely with printing, production, and operations teams to identify and resolve file-related issues before they impact schedules or output quality
Create comprehensive pitch decks for wide-format printing clients by compiling on-site photography, measurements, and layout information into professional, client-facing presentations
Translate physical site data into clear visual mockups that demonstrate placement, scale, and sizing of proposed graphics across multiple locations within a space
Customize pitch decks to align with Rareb1rd LLC branding or adapt them for unbranded client presentations as required
Ensure all decks are visually polished, logically structured, and easy for clients to understand, supporting both sales efforts and project approvals
Own and manage a significant portion of Rareb1rd LLC’s brand assets, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all visual touchpoints
Maintain and update the company’s Webflow website, including layout updates, asset integration, visual improvements, and ongoing brand alignment
Design and produce a wide range of branded materials, including but not limited to business cards, packaging, branded labels, posters, postcards, banners, merchandise, forms, internal documents, presentation decks, and marketing collateral
Ensure all brand materials meet company standards for quality, consistency, and print readiness across both digital and physical formats
Develop and maintain custom Google Sheets spreadsheets to support production tracking and operational efficiency across departments
Design spreadsheets that track job runtimes, material usage, quantities, and other production-related metrics
Implement formulas, expressions, and calculated fields to automate data analysis and improve accuracy
Extract and parse data from text inputs when necessary to support reporting and workflow optimization
Collaborate with internal teams to refine tracking tools based on real-world production needs, contributing to continuous improvement in efficiency and data visibility
Serve as a design and production resource for cross-functional teams, offering technical guidance, problem-solving support, and best practices related to print production and asset management
Balance creative design work with technical execution, ensuring all deliverables meet both aesthetic and production requirements
Uphold high standards of organization, attention to detail, and process documentation to support scalable design and production workflows
