Metro Water Recovery is seeking an Application Developer to assist with the design, development, and delivery of application solutions within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem. Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting with the design, development, and delivery of application solutions within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem
Provides support to Metro Water Recovery technology environments such as SharePoint, Power Platform, IT ticketing systems, etc
Responsible for creating design, development, and delivery of complex application solutions within the Microsoft cloud ecosystem
Utilizes more complex technology coding techniques

Required

Basic understanding of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate

Leveraging diverse modes of communication to optimize the effective exchange of ideas and information

Build and configure functional business applications using low-code tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate
Create user-friendly interfaces, responsive forms, and basic dashboards or reports

Work effectively in a Microsoft-centric development environment, adapting to tools like Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams
Adhering to governance policies, security standards, and procedural guidelines

Follow best practices and keep updated on industry trends
Effectively communicate orally and in writing

Microsoft development environments, especially Power Platform, SharePoint Online, .NET (C#), and SQL Server
Web development standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and basic application integration using REST APIs
Understanding object-oriented programming, relational database concepts, and form-based application logic
Version control tools (e.g., Git) and tracking changes in shared environments
Developing user interfaces and business logic using Microsoft technologies and standard web languages
Build and deploy applications in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, with a focus on maintainability and alignment with internal IT governance
Gathering and analyzing requirements to produce technical specifications or user stories
Interpret business needs and translate them into functional solutions that comply with organizational policies, security requirements, and technical standards
Works both independently and collaboratively to deliver assigned tasks on time and in accordance with project standards
Manage competing priorities across multiple projects while maintaining high-quality deliverables
Identifying opportunities for system improvements and assisting in implementing enhancements to existing applications
Mentor and train IT staff
