Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain authentication and authorization flows using Transmit Security (Journeys, WebSDK scripting/AuthScript)
Configure and integrate SSO using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML 2.0 across web and mobile applications
Implement MFA, risk-based authentication, and session management strategies for enhanced security
Develop and deploy Java/J2EE applications and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot/Spring Framework
Ensure robust HTTP request/response tracing, session handling, and secure client-server/server-server communication (TLS/mTLS)
Enforce best practices for token management, scope-based access control, and secure storage of credentials/secrets
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements and internal standards
Work with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) for identity and session data; optimize schemas and queries
Integrate with third-party services and internal systems via secure APIs
Use Git, Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy services
Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes
Manage configurations and environments using Ansible/Puppet; troubleshoot production issues using logs and metrics
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Security, Platform, Product, QA)
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and Agile ceremonies; mentor junior engineers

Required

Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
7–12 years of experience in backend development using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot/Framework
Deep understanding of Access Management: SSO, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0
Hands-on experience with Transmit Security (Journeys, WebSDK scripting/AuthScript)
Strong knowledge of HTTP, session handling, and secure communication (TLS/mTLS)
Experience building and deploying REST APIs with Spring
Proficiency with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Practical experience with DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration management (Ansible/Puppet)
Proficiency with IDEs (Eclipse/IntelliJ) and modern development workflows

Preferred

Experience implementing MFA, adaptive/risk-based authentication, and device fingerprinting
Knowledge of API gateways, WAF, and reverse proxies in auth flows
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and secret management (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager/HashiCorp Vault)
