The role involves performing detailed inspections of materials and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining product conformity and process control.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and subassemblies, including electronic and electrical parts, cables, connectors, metal fabrications, machined parts, and hardware
Verify conformance to purchase order requirements, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
Document inspection results and nonconformances using standardized forms or ERP/QMS systems
Conduct in-process inspections during manufacturing and assembly operations to ensure compliance with work instructions and quality standards
Perform final inspection of completed units prior to shipment, ensuring documentation completeness and calibration certification accuracy
Maintain accurate and legible inspection records, certificates of conformance, material certifications, and test data; as appropriate
Identify and segregate nonconforming materials; initiate Corrective Action/Preventative Actions (CAPA's) as required
Assist in corrective action activities under the guidance of the Quality Manager
Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, multimeters, continuity testers, torque wrenches) to verify part dimensions and electrical continuity
Maintain calibration integrity of inspection tools and verify traceability as required by ISO 9001 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 standards
Support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 and customer audits
Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
Ensure adherence to company safety procedures and quality system policies
