Responsibilities
Apply expertise and technical knowledge of water and wastewater evaluations, design, and construction to serve as a Lead Technical Designer, Task Manager, and/or Project Manager on projects in Upstate NY
Develop municipal water and wastewater projects, ensuring their successful execution and delivery while enhancing the team's capabilities
Develop project scopes, budgets, and delivery schedules, ensuring that tasks and projects are completed on time and within budget
Perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses using technical design software to address complex issues
Engage in marketing and business development activities for the water/wastewater market in the region including developing project proposals and collaborating with other senior staff to manage regional clients
Coordinate project execution activities across disciplines and oversee design projects both small and large from inception to completion
Prepare comprehensive construction packages for water/wastewater systems, developing and managing cost estimates and project schedules
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
Uphold Arcadis’ standards and specifications for municipal water and wastewater design and construction projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
10 years of progressively responsible experience
Licensed Professional Engineer in New York State
Preferred
Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or an MBA
15 years of progressively responsible experience
Secondary certification (W/WW Operators License, BCEE, PMP, LEED, ENV SP)
Active participation in regional (local/state) and/or national professional associations
