Responsibilities
Architect end-to-end cloud solutions for migrating on-prem VMware workloads to AWS using VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC) and HCX
Plan, deploy, configure HCX (Interconnect, Network Extension, WAN Optimization) for secure, optimized workload mobility (vMotion, RAV, Bulk, Cloud-to-Cloud)
Design AWS landing zones (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, IAM, Direct Connect/VPN) to support VMC SDDC and migrated VMs
Lead the migration process, ensuring minimal downtime, IP preservation, and performance
Optimize AWS costs (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans), performance (EC2 types, storage tiers), and security
Develop automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, scripts) for deployment and operations
Qualification
Required
8+ Years of Experience Required
5+ years in IT, with significant experience in VMware (vSphere, NSX, vCenter)
3+ years in AWS
AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification
VMware VCP/VCDX (Cloud/Data Center Virtualization) certification
Deep knowledge of vSphere, NSX-T, HCX
Strong AWS services knowledge (VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/VPN)
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python)
