Responsibilities
Assist in planning schedules and labor needs based on forecasted sales to ensure strong coverage and efficiency
Oversee the deli counter and sales floor to keep products stocked, rotated, and attractively displayed
Coach and train team members to deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and consistent customer service
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards across all front-of-house areas
Help manage timecards, shrink reporting, documentation, and team huddles
Communicate daily with the Department Manager, Deli Kitchen, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude
Support merchandising, promotions, and sampling efforts to engage shoppers and boost sales
Jump in wherever needed to maintain service flow and keep operations running strong
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and exceptional customer service standards
Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and hold staff accountable
Friendly, professional communicator who enjoys connecting with customers and coworkers
Organized multitasker who stays calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and team-driven
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams for communication and scheduling
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience required
Food service or retail experience encouraged
Valid Food Handler's Card required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
Preferred
Knife Safety and ServSafe certification preferred
