The intern will support the Hydro Operation and Maintenance departments by conducting research, assisting with safety evaluations, and participating in safety meetings while adhering to company safety standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct research, document and develop reports

Provide assistance to Company safety professionals and conduct ergonomic evaluations, work site inspections, safety meeting presentations, industrial hygiene sampling (e.g. noise, indoor air quality) field inspections, visits, etc.; capacity projects and develop job hazard analysis support, behavioral safety support, safety audits, hazard communication, respirator hazards in the workplace, performance of employee sampling for air containments and VPP objectives

May be requested to conduct research on various safety/health related issues

Participate in organizational work meetings

Lifting of materials up to 35 pounds

Travel within the service territory 15% of time
