Post-Doctoral Associate AD - Dutta-06

The post-doctoral research associate will work on identifying diverse thiosulfinate tolerance gene clusters in bacterial pathogens affecting Alliums and will take a leadership role in data collection, data analysis, and compiling manuscripts for publication.

Responsibilities
Utilize state-of-the-art technologies but not limited to genomics, computational biology to identify novel thiosulfinate gene clusters in diverse bacterial pathogens affecting Alliums
Work closely with different key industry stakeholders, and be involved in training undergraduate and graduate students, keeping records related to research projects, synthesizing data, presenting results at local and national conferences and preparing scientific manuscripts for publications
Work on pathosystems that will include onion, garlic, Japanese bunching onion
Qualification
Required
PhD in plant pathology or biochemistry with emphasis on bioinformatics
Working understanding and experience with host and pathogen genomes
