Channel Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

Develop and execute distribution sales strategies and plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets
Track, analyze, and report on sales data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
Meet or exceed assigned KPIs related to sales performance, distributor engagement, and customer satisfaction
Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and product direction
Manage and grow relationships with existing distribution partners to increase sales volume, product mix, and loyalty
Develop and manage distributor programs designed to incentivize sales growth and long-term partnership
Strategize and implement initiatives to expand the range and portfolio of products purchased by distributors
Provide ongoing sales, technical, and product support to distributors as required, including onsite demonstrations
Identify, qualify, and prospect new distribution partners aligned with company strategy
Lead distributor onboarding, including pitching, contracting, training, and initial sales activation
Ensure new distributors are effectively integrated into sales, marketing, and operational processes
Work closely with internal teams including Product Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure distributor and end-customer needs are met
Collaborate with purchasing and operations to maintain accurate inventory planning based on distributor forecasts and buying patterns
Identify and coordinate product innovation ideas based on distributor and market feedback
Ensure all distributor and customer data in the CRM system is accurate, complete, and up to date
Track opportunities, end-user prospects, and sales activity through the CRM
Utilize CRM reporting to monitor performance, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy
Provide onsite sales, technical, or product demonstrations as required
Coordinate with technical sales representatives to deliver onsite support when needed
Provide input into marketing strategy, campaigns, and materials as they relate to distribution sales
Support go-to-market initiatives in collaboration with marketing and product teams

Required

Proven experience in sales strategy development and execution
Strong analytical skills to track, analyze, and report on sales data
Ability to meet or exceed assigned KPIs related to sales performance
Understanding of industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs
Experience in managing and growing distributor relationships
Ability to develop and manage distributor programs
Experience in identifying and qualifying new distribution partners
Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Experience with CRM systems and reporting
Ability to provide onsite sales, technical, or product demonstrations
Experience in providing input into marketing strategy and initiatives
