Business Analyst

Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for application, database, and workflow improvement projects
Partner with technical teams to translate business needs into clear functional specifications
Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings, including agenda creation, note-taking, and action-item tracking
Support application prototyping efforts by ensuring user feedback is captured, documented, and communicated effectively
Assist with data-related initiatives, including process mapping, reporting needs, and dashboard development in coordination with technical staff
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test script development, execution, and defect tracking
Prepare detailed user documentation, training materials, and reference guides to support successful system adoption
Deliver training sessions and support end users on new system features, workflows, and process changes
Coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams in an agile environment
Monitor competing priorities and tasks to ensure deadlines are met and project milestones remain on track
Provide business analysis support for modernization of legacy infrastructure and applications (no programming required)
Maintain strong ongoing communication with users to ensure solutions align with expectations and business goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree; 2-5 years of experience in similar roles supporting software implementations
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong background in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and meeting facilitation
Experience with system implementations, UAT coordination, and process improvement initiatives
Ability to manage multiple competing tasks efficiently while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Experience preparing and delivering presentations and end-user training
Familiarity with Salesforce (user-level or BA-level experience acceptable)
Experience working with local, state, or federal government, especially within social services programs
Strong organizational skills and a self-starter mindset
Preferred
Experience supporting projects involving databases, reporting tools, or web-based applications
Understanding of relational database concepts (no development required)
Experience working in agile or hybrid project methodologies
Master's degree in a related field
Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and emerging technologies
