Communications Supervisor

Responsibilities

Lead the communications efforts for the Gambling Control Board
Work with the leadership team on strategic communications
Act as a spokesperson for the agency
Advise and manage project execution for internal and external stakeholders
Supervise the day-to-day work and long-term strategic communication plan for the agency
Oversee the daily output of written, graphic, presentational, social media and educational communications for the agency and its various divisions
Manage the production schedule, assignments and output for all communications and educational materials
Be part of the GCB leadership team

Required

Four (4) years of directly related experience in communications, public relations or marketing
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing may substitute for (1 year) 12 months of experience
A master's degree in a directly or closely related field may substitute for up to 18 months of experience
Planning, promoting or coordinating marketing and/or outreach events
Supervising and leading the work of others that includes assigning and reviewing project work
Creating educational materials and/or providing oversight to the production of educational materials to be presented to internal and external stakeholders

Preferred

Additional managerial or supervisory experience in a communications, marketing or public relations office
Demonstrated proficiency in media relations
Experience in public government service/entities
Demonstrated knowledge of the Charitable Gambling Industry
