Responsibilities
Data Quality Monitoring & Improvement
Design, implement, and maintain data quality checks, rules, and validations across critical data assets
Use modern data quality tools (e.g., Anomalo, Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, Collibra DQ, Informatica Data Quality) to build automated monitoring pipelines
Set up anomaly detection thresholds, freshness checks, volume checks, schema drift detection, and ML-based quality scoring
Investigate data incidents by performing detailed root cause analysis, coordinating across engineering, data, and business teams
Recommend and implement data cleansing, standardization, and remediation actions
Partner with business users, product owners, and domain SMEs to understand critical data elements (CDEs), quality expectations, and acceptable thresholds
Translate business data requirements into technical rule definitions and monitoring logic
Facilitate data quality workshops, document rules and definitions, and ensure alignment across data producers and consumers
Maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and data lineage in collaboration with data governance teams
Track compliance with data quality policies and standards
Produce dashboards and reports to communicate data health trends to leadership
Manage data quality tooling including onboarding new datasets, configuring monitors, and optimizing platform performance
Leverage Anomalo (if experienced) to set up automated health checks, anomaly detection, and issue tracking workflows
Evaluate new tools and contribute to the continuous improvement of the data quality ecosystem
Work with data engineering to ensure upstream pipelines support quality initiatives
Collaborate with analytics, data science, and reporting teams to ensure they have access to trusted, reliable data
Coordinate remediation ownership with system/data owners
Qualification
Required
7–9+ years of experience in data quality engineering, data governance, data analysis, or data management roles
Expertise with data quality frameworks, rule logic, and anomaly detection
Hands-on experience with one or more data quality tools: Anomalo (preferred), Monte Carlo, Collibra, Informatica DQ, Ataccama, etc
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)
Experience working in data-driven environments and collaborating with business stakeholders
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Bachelor of Computer Science
Preferred
Experience with Anomalo
