Responsibilities

Conduct research in the lab and support to include but not limited to the collection and recording of data and assist with developing reports. Work with others in a collaborative research environment
Assist with lab maintenance: safety regulations, laboratory instruments and inventory, the purchase of lab supplies, and ensuring overall organization (e.g., wash glassware, prepare basic solutions, and media, take away the trash, etc.)
Supervision of student worker, undergraduate students that assist with research

Qualification

Molecular geneticsCell cultureLab safety regulationsResearch knowledgeCommunication skills

Required

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate
Knowledge and experiences in molecular genetics and cell culture
Lab and research knowledge and skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred
