The University of Georgia is the oldest and most comprehensive institution of higher education in Georgia. They are seeking a Lab & Research Student Assistant who will provide greenhouse assistance, assist with field research, and support basic lab protocols and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Greenhouse – care for plants in greenhouse. Plant, weed, fertilize, water

Assist with field research- collect plant samples, label, flag, stake

Assist with basic lab protocols- Phytophthora isolation, Xylella isolation, DNA extraction, etc

Assist with basic lab maintenance and chores – wash glassware, autoclave supplies, prepare basic solutions and media, take away trash, etc
