$66.65/hr - $98/hrTEKsystems is seeking an experienced Principal Architect for a 6 month contract to hire position with a reputable organization. The role involves leading a strategic automation initiative aimed at accelerating network deployments and reducing implementation timelines through the design and implementation of automation solutions.

Responsibilities
Design and implement network automation frameworks to support large-scale deployments
Develop and execute automation scripts and workflows for firewall roles, SD-WAN configurations, and other network infrastructure components
Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to integrate automation into existing platforms and processes
Lead the rollout of automation initiatives, ensuring scalability and reliability across multiple environments
Optimize deployment timelines (30-60-90 day windows) through automation strategies and best practices
Provide hands-on expertise and guidance on automation tools and methodologies, including Ansible and Terraform
Evaluate and recommend automation tools and technologies that align with organizational goals and vendor compatibility (Cisco, Palo Alto, SilverPeak)
Document automation processes and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in network automation and infrastructure deployment automation
Hands-on Experience With Ansible And Terraform (required)
Strong experience in automating deployments for network devices such as Cisco, Palo Alto firewalls, and SilverPeak SD-WAN
Demonstrated ability to build automation solutions from the ground up in a greenfield environment
Familiarity with cloud and platform integration for network automation
Ability to work independently and provide strategic direction for automation initiatives
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to shorten deployment timelines through innovative automation approaches
