Responsibilities

Conduct both in vitro therapeutic assessment studies as well as in vivo investigations of therapeutic efficacy in rodent models
Assist the PI in overseeing laboratory activities
Supervise graduate and undergraduate trainees
Prepare manuscripts and grant proposals

Qualification

Ph.D in neuroscienceComputational skillsVitro cell biologyRodent surgeriesImagingImage analysisHistologyStatistics expertiseCommunicationTime-management skillsLeadership skills

Required

Ph.D in neuroscience, neuro-oncology, biomedical engineering, psychology, or a related field
Strong computational skills (MATLAB, Julia, E-prime, Python etc.)
Training in in vitro cell biological methods
Training in rodent surgeries
Training in imaging and image analysis
Training in histology
Good publication record
Rigorous training in experimental methods
Expertise in statistics and statistical computation tools (R, MATLAB)
Excellent communication skills
Excellent time-management skills
Excellent leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work with a sense of urgency on time-sensitive projects
Ability to conduct both in vitro therapeutic assessment studies
Ability to conduct in vivo investigations of therapeutic efficacy in rodent models
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand at lab bench for an extended period of time
Driving requirement

Preferred

Prior experience in biomaterial synthesis and characterization
Prior experience in microfluidics
Prior experience in neural interfacing
Prior experience in neuromodulation (tMS, tDCS)
Prior experience in electrophysiology
Prior experience in motor function assessments
