Responsibilities

Remediate PDF forms and documents to meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements, with a strong focus on proper tagging structure, accessible tables and lists, fully accessible interactive form fields, accurate labels, tooltips, and instructions
Remediate documents with high page counts
Remediate Word documents that may be converted to PDF maintaining specified styles and best practices

Required

Demonstrated expert-level experience in digital accessibility, with a primary focus on PDF documents and Adobe fillable forms
Deep working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA, including success criteria related to forms, input assistance, and non-text content
Proven experience remediating interactive PDF forms, not just static documents
Advanced proficiency with tools such as: Adobe Acrobat Pro (including tagging, form field creation, and accessibility checker), Assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) for testing and validation
Strong understanding of how users with disabilities interact with forms and documents
Ability to work independently and manage multiple remediation efforts efficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical accessibility concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner; organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines

Preferred

Relevant accessibility certifications, such as: IAAP CPACC, IAAP WAS, IAAP PDF Accessibility, Trusted Tester or equivalent
Experience working with: High-volume document libraries, CommonLook PDF and CommonLook Office
Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager Forms (AEM) – Designer
Familiarity with plain language principles as they relate to accessible forms
Experience advising organizations on accessibility strategy or standards
