CAD OPERATOR

Russells Technical Products is seeking a CAD Designer to support the design, development, and automation of complex mechanical systems. This role will focus on computer-aided design (CAD) work and engineering automation, including managing Autodesk licenses and supporting production with design corrections.

Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and maintain 3D CAD models and drawings for environmental test chambers using Autodesk Inventor
Support production floor with design corrections/revisions
Manage deployment of Autodesk Software including AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault
Document and maintain CAD standards
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving CAD and Vault-related issues
Support configuration control and version management of engineering data
Demonstrate the core values of gratitude, ownership, adaptability, teamwork, and service in their daily work
Other administration tasks as assigned

Required

Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in a CAD operator/technician or design engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or custom equipment environment
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or other 3D modeling software
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes

Preferred

Competency in iLogic or VBA programming
Experience in the design or manufacturing of environmental test chambers or related equipment
Vault Thin Client Configuration and Autodesk Vault Administration
