Responsibilities
Ship a Next.js App Router experience that blends typed backend APIs, real-time React Query data flows, and design-system driven UI
Integrate AI services, Clerk-secured authentication, and AWS storage with Pulumi-managed infrastructure, emphasizing data protection, redundancy, and compliance
Deploy, monitor, and tune production workloads on Vercel and AWS to keep performance, cost, and reliability in balance
Jump across the stack—front end, API, DevOps, CI/CD, testing—whenever the tiny team needs it
Own data modeling, caching, and storage strategies that keep customer datasets responsive, auditable, and resilient on AWS
Prototype advanced UI patterns—map overlays, timeline views, complex interactions—and tune them for performance and accessibility
Champion AI-augmented development rituals that raise team velocity, code quality, and onboarding speed
Qualification
Required
1+ year building TypeScript React applications, confident with server actions, component-driven architecture, Tailwind, and Radix UI ecosystems
Experience connecting typed APIs (tRPC, GraphQL, REST) to front-end features, including caching, streaming, and robust error handling, plus Pulumi (or similar) for IaC
Familiarity with securing user journeys through Clerk, implementing data-governance patterns, and safeguarding redundancy on AWS
Self-directed, AI-enabled mindset: you build with Cursor or comparable copilots to debug faster, absorb new domains, and keep documentation up to date
Thrives in a two-person, startup-style environment where picking up DevOps, testing, or infrastructure work is part of solving the problem
Preferred
Background in LLM agent orchestration, cloud automation, or experimentation frameworks that align with the research-agent team
Familiarity with browser automation or evaluation pipelines that help verify AI-powered product features
Interest in pairing human feedback with AI outputs to reinforce trust and transparency across the customer experience
