Responsibilities
Agile Development: Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as iteration planning, iteration demos, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to contribute to team goals and objectives
Documentation: Maintain up-to-date system documentation in confluence, including interface definitions, system diagrams, and mission use cases
Collaboration: Work closely with the government product manager and software developers to ensure system designs align with customer and technical objectives
Other Responsibilities:
System Design: Develop and document system architecture, components, and interfaces to meet project requirements
System Interfaces: Become an expert in the system’s interfaces and identify key integration points
Integration & Testing: Support the integration system services with external systems
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving system efficiency and scalability through innovative approaches and tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, or equivalent years of experience
An active Secret clearance is required
8-10 years of experience in systems engineering or a related role
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Jenkins,…)
Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with Java, Spring MVC, jQuery, jQuery DataTables, ThymeLeaf, AJAX, Bootstrap and CSS experience
Preferred
Background in Mission Operations
Experience with complex system integration activities
