They are seeking highly motivated Chemical Engineering students for their Operations Co-op Program to gain hands-on experience in production support and process development.

Responsibilities

Assist the day-to-day operation of production units and help solve technical issues encountered in manufacturing

Work on projects involving process optimization (increasing capacity, reducing batch cycle time, etc.), safety improvements, new process and equipment start-ups, system troubleshooting, capital project design, and recommending and/or implementing equipment changes

Develop troubleshooting and problem-solving skills while applying the knowledge learned in the classroom

Interact with a variety of departments within the plant, throughout Lubrizol, and in outside organizations

Design lab and pilot scale experiments, implement equipment changes, develop and evaluate analytical tests, collect and analyze data, and then make recommendations based on results

Required

Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Students currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university, with a graduation between December 2028 through May 2030

Completion of two co-op terms is required, working 40 hours per week

Students are responsible for reliable transportation to and from their work location during their co-op term

Students with GPA > 3.0 will be given priority consideration

Preferred

Three or more co-op terms are strongly preferred with one or more scheduled in the fall or spring semester(s)
