Responsibilities
Lead and manage multi-disciplinary MEP engineering projects from concept through construction
Coordinate design teams, ensuring quality deliverables, schedules, and budgets
Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong relationships throughout project life cycles
Oversee preparation of drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Collaborate with internal leadership on staffing, resource planning, and design approaches
Ensure compliance with NYC and state codes, sustainability standards, and project-specific requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
8+ years of relevant MEP design experience, with at least 3 years in project management
Proven track record managing building system design for commercial, institutional, or high-performance facilities
Excellent communication, leadership, and client coordination skills
Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and project management software tools
Preferred
Experience on public projects strongly preferred
Previously worked with government or state agencies / municipalities
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
