Responsibilities
Act as the SAP PP Lead, owning the end-to-end Production Planning solution across greenfield, brownfield, and ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs
Lead the design and delivery of SAP PP processes including demand management, MRP, capacity planning, production orders, repetitive manufacturing, and PP-PI (where applicable)
Translate business manufacturing requirements into scalable SAP PP solution designs aligned with industry best practices
Drive integration between SAP PP and related modules including MM, SD, QM, PM, CO, and APO/IBP (where in scope)
Provide architectural and functional leadership across PP workstreams, ensuring consistency across plants and manufacturing sites
Guide decisions on standard SAP vs. custom developments, advising on process optimization and simplification
Partner with project managers to define scope, milestones, resourcing, dependencies, and risk mitigation for PP-related deliverables
Lead functional design workshops, blueprinting sessions, and solution validation with business stakeholders
Oversee testing strategy including unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution
Support cutover planning, data migration validation, go-live execution, and post–go-live stabilization
Act as a subject-matter expert for S/4HANA PP innovations, including MRP Live, embedded analytics, and advanced planning capabilities
Provide hands-on guidance and mentoring to SAP PP consultants and offshore teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years of SAP PP experience with multiple full life-cycle implementations in discrete and/or process manufacturing environments
Strong functional knowledge of SAP PP including MRP, BOMs, routings/recipes, work centers/resources, capacity planning, production orders, and shop floor execution
Experience with PP integration to MM, SD, QM, PM, CO, and warehouse/logistics processes
Proven delivery experience in both ECC and S/4HANA environments, including S/4HANA PP simplification items
Ability to lead large, multi-plant PP deployments from design through go-live
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and end-to-end supply chain planning
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at both operational and executive levels
Willingness and ability to travel 50–80%
