Responsibilities

Conducts assigned technical tasks producing accurate, timely results used for decisions within an area of technical specialty at a project level. Exhibits good discriminatory judgment in evaluating results of those tasks, and suggests future direction based on these results. Understands project scope, expectations, and requirements

Applies technical skills to provide support and services to one or more of the following: new product development, product modification, application development, and process development

Provides support on products to clients and/or customers to expand opportunities and reduce risks

Analyzes and interprets results of technical work. May participate in areas such as general cost reduction, quality improvement efforts, etc

Interacts with other personnel within the assigned business. Develops and establishes a network of resources to facilitate completion of assignments. Participates on and may lead teams. Applies internal and external information resources and systems including utilizing a working knowledge and understanding of various functions and interfaces within the area of focus. Understands customer/client relations, customer and client’s processes, requirements, and applications, clearly communicating the value of new/unique/differentiating features of company products and services to customers/clients

Communicates results of assigned and self-initiated technical tasks to the respective business group and/or appropriate technical community. Communicates relevant findings to external parties/customers as appropriate. Prepares reports, presentations, and other written documents

May be responsible for providing functional work direction and/or training to other technical team members. Participates in identifying tasks, providing time estimates to complete tasks, and contributing to sub-teams. May lead projects or sub-teams to complete assigned tasks. May conduct training to customers and/or business teams

Required

5 years minimum of hands-on experience developing AWS Cloud Automation solutions

Experience with deploying AWS Lambda functions

Experience with at least one scripting language (Python/Boto3 preferred)

Experience with CloudFormation and/or other IaC tools (Terraform, CDK)

Preferred

AWS Solutions Architect or Developer/DevOps Certification (Professional level preferred)

Experience building and deploying solutions using serverless technologies (e.g. AWS Lambda, StepFunctions, EventBridge)

A strong understanding of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, Organizations etc

A strong understanding of AWS security features, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and security best practices

Solid understanding of networking concepts and virtual network implementation in cloud environments (VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink)

Experience with containerization technologies such as Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)

Familiarity with healthcare regulations and external compliance standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, etc
