Senior Accounting Manager
Dahl Consulting is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead a high-performing accounting team for a large nonprofit organization with over $600 million in annual revenue. This role oversees core business accounting functions and ensures compliance with GAAP and tax regulations while supporting strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of five accountants, including two principal accountants and three senior accountants
Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulations
Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors for timely completion
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership for strategic planning
Collaborate with FP&A and other business partners to drive organizational objectives
Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Participate in ERP system implementation and design workshops as part of a multi-year transition from Oracle EDS to Oracle Fusion
Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment and coach staff through process changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
5+ years of management or supervisory experience, with proven ability to lead teams through change
Expertise in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Experience with large organizations or nonprofits; familiarity with Form 990 filings
Strong treasury operations experience and ability to manage accounting for multiple legal entities
Advanced proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred
CPA designation (active or inactive) or MBA
Public accounting experience, especially with nonprofit clients
Experience with ERP systems and full-cycle implementation projects
Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and government contract compliance
