Zimmerman Advertising is seeking a highly motivated Junior Copywriter to join their creative team. The role involves developing engaging copy, collaborating with Art Directors, and contributing to new business pitches while managing multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

Develop engaging, on-brand copy that aligns with client guidelines and standards

Contribute to new business pitches with bold, innovative ideas

Learn and maintain current knowledge of social platform specs/capabilities

Produce and support excellent work for clients, both creatively as well as effectively, in multiple media types including, but not limited to, television, radio, print, digital, social, mobile, web, outdoor, and collateral

Manage multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines

Deliver grammatically precise and effective copy

Review, edit, and proofread all creative team communications for accuracy

Build positive relationships internally and externally, helping strengthen the agency’s reputation in the creative community

Proofread all communications developed by the creative team and ensure information accuracy

Help the agency develop strong and positive relationships in the advertising and marketing community to aid in the recruitment of top talent

Possess a positive attitude when working with colleagues, associates, and clients. Be solutions-oriented, and supportive in finding solutions to unexpected challenges

Required

Bachelor's degree required

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Cultural awareness and curiosity, with the ability to write for diverse audiences

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Mac OS

Proven ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and deliver work on time and within budget

Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently, in support of the agency's creative goals and the client's business objectives

Preferred

Experience in advertising, marketing, or other fast-paced creative environments preferred

Portfolio site showcasing produced work across multiple media, with strong conceptual thinking and social platform expertise
